Fame, fortune and food - Hollywood has it all. Whether it’s learning about the city’s famed Golden Age, fun days out for the family or fine dining you’re looking for, this is a place that has it all.
Glamourous streets
Hollywood is renowned for its Walk of Fame, featuring the names of over 2,600 of the world’s most famous stars - including Michael Jackson, Louis Armstrong and Marilyn Monroe.
Since this major tourist attraction started in the 1960s, the names of famous celebrities have been embedded into 15 blocks around Hollywood Boulevard. Times may change, but the memories of the great’s lives live on down these streets.
The beginning of Blockbuster
Hollywood is famed for its many production studies – and Paramount Pictures is one of the biggest and most famous. It’s been the home of blockbusters since starting out in 1912 and is the second oldest movie studio in the US.
Book in for a two-hour tour, delivered by passionate and informative guides, to gain insight into the history of the studios and the process behind making the movies that we all know and love.
Hang out with the stars
If you don’t happen to pass your favourite celebrity when cruising the streets of Hollywood Boulevard, then you’ll likely find them at Madame Tussauds.
Out of over 20 other museums located around the world, the Hollywood venue was the ninth to be built - and is home to over 100 celebrity look alike wax figurines to make you feel as though you’re really hanging out with the stars. Snap a selfie with Kim Kardashian or Robert de Niro – and see if they’ve got a special exhibition on.
A-list cuisine
Hollywood is more than just cinema and sparkles - it’s also a great place to try some of the world’s best food. From soul food to world famous Asian dishes, Hollywood is a mixing pot of cultures and flavours.
If you’re a fan of seafood, then you’ll want to visit The Hungry Cat down on Vine Street. Just a five-minute drive from Hollywood Boulevard, this restaurant is great for brunch, lunch or dinner.
If you’re travelling with a partner, then why not book a table at Cleo at the Redburry. The menu offers a mouth-watering selection of Mezze plates and is known for its baba ghanoush and grilled octopus. Just a short drive north of Hollywood central, you can make your way there with ease and enjoy a delicious evening.
Take in the entire city
With everything so fast paced and buzzing down on the streets of the city, it’s nice to step back and take it all in. The best place to do this, while still experiencing the history of Hollywood, is at the iconic Hollywood sign.
Whilst its original purpose was the advertise housing development in the area, the sign has now become the symbol of the dazzling city. Up high in the Hollywood hills, drive for just under half an hour to reach the nine standing letters up close and personal and have an amazing view of the city.
Whatever glamorous experience you’re looking for when visiting Hollywood, you’ll have plenty to choose from. Fitting it all in to one trip might seem difficult but you can be rest assured that we will provide you with the right vehicle to make seeing it all possible.
