No trip to Orlando would be complete without visiting at least one of its theme parks. Whether you’re looking for white-knuckle rollercoasters or want to immerse yourself in the world of your favourite films, there are countless things to do and see.
First stop, Walt Disney World®. Let your imagination run wild in this huge resort, made up of several different parks. Take a selfie with Mickey Mouse, watch fireworks explode above Cinderella's Castle and thunder around heart-stopping Space Mountain.

Culture vultures, rejoice. Experience a different perspective on Orlando with a trip to one of the nearby museums or galleries.
One of the most popular is the Mennello Museum of American Art next to Lake Formosa. It houses a permanent collection by the 20th century folk artist Earl Cunningham, as well as many other exhibitions celebrating traditional and modern American art.
Also worth a visit is the Orlando Museum of Art. Established in 1924, this artistic hub is one of the best in the state. Gaze at works spanning from the ancient Americas, such as pottery and jewellery, to sculptures and paintings from the 21st century.
Finish off with a trip to the Cornell Fine Arts Museum, housed within the Winter Park campus of Rollins College. Its diverse collection includes Italian Renaissance paintings, art from Latin America and Europe as well as works by contemporary artists.
Wet and wild
Get back to nature with a trip to the Everglades National Park, a sprawling subtropical wetland in southern Florida. Drive along the state highway which stretches through the national park and tall grass prairies, cypress trees and freshwater marshes will come into view.
Stop off at the Anhinga Trail boardwalk to spy wading herons and alligators gliding through the marshes. You can take your experience further by heading into the waters themselves. Speed through the swamps aboard an airboat or try your hand at kayaking through the mangroves.
The final frontier
