Capital attractions
Boston is a great spot for a city break, whether you prefer romance, history or luxury shopping. The City on a Hill has always had a strong sense of identity.

Salem and the Massachusetts coast
The Massachusetts coastline is known for its rugged cliff faces, wet marshland and pure white sand. Take to the road to see everything from paradise beaches to the witching legacy of Salem.
Salem is a short drive north of Boston, making it the perfect stop for a day trip. There are dozens of witch-themed sights to explore. You can see a re-enactment of the infamous witch trials of 1692, or witness the Haunted Happenings Halloween festival each October.
Once you’re thoroughly spooked, head south to sample a taste of the idyllic Cape Cod coastline. Here you’ll find kilometres of rolling white sand, and towns as far out in spirit as they are by location.
Provincetown is the colourful destination of choice for creatives and revellers who want to mix city and sand. Dip into art installations, then rent a bicycle to explore a web of rugged coastal trails.
See the New England Patriots
The New England area is famous for its sporting legacy – basketball and volleyball were both invented in 19th-century Massachusetts.
The New England Patriots were an original member of the American Football League, and have had a string of Super Bowl successes through their long and rich history.
The stadium is located outside of Boston, close to the town of Foxborough. It’s easy to reach by road – simply cruise down I-95 then exit onto the Boston Providence Highway (MA-1) until you reach the New England Revolution at the Gillette Stadium.
